Too many people these days
Leave litter everywhere
In our precious countryside
Considerable despair
Is caused to birds and fishes
And other wildlife too
Plastic cartons and
Tins of soft drink
It’s what idiots do
Can’t be bothered to take it home
Just lob it out the car
Or picnic in the forest
And leave it where you are
Really so bloody ignorant
Wildlife do you see
Pick it up
And take it to their nests
Demonstrably
Causing risks to little chicks
In the open air
As you know it rains a lot
And with chicks it isn’t fair
Plastic can sometimes end
Where the nests get waterlogged
And chicks can die
It’s possible
Its happening
Yes bogged
Down in nest materials
And rain can’t drain away
And chick are then on risk to drown
