Killing animals in slaughterhouses

Animals have hearts and minds
Godly creations they
All well aware
From sight and sound
What’s happening to them the day
They are carted off for slaughter
The smells the blood the noise
Being manhandled hearing others
Is not one of life’s joys
It instils in them such fervour
Fear taints their very soul
Tortured at the point of death
