Coed y Brenin Forest Park Tyn-y-Groes

Over the cattle grid
Park up an see
The majestic ones
Each Douglas Fir Tree
Pushing into the sky
Enormously so
Aside the Mawddach’s
Energised flow

White water thrusting
And laying sedate
Pushing ahead
At a voluminous rate
It’s impulsive action
It’s immediacy
With belligerent force
Driving onto the sea

It’s impressive to share
The Welsh Mountain air
Reviving one’s spirit
The wind in one’s hair
Enthused and awakened
By river and sky
Being in the Kings forest
Thrilled just how high

These great trunks straight upwards
Their turbulent state
A towering tantrum
At a furious rate
These hundred foot
Giants massive they be
Unbelievable force
And rabid energy

It’s a wonderful walk
Accessible for
Almost anybody
The wind can be raw
But with Some gratification
From the cover one feels
A calming profusion
It all just appeals

The sounds and the sights
Bring an enchanting feel
Blessed with contentment
It’s all very real
It’s just awe inspiring
Unimaginably
The great heights and sounds
It’s just lovely to be

Part of the drama
The mysterious play
The trees seem to climb
In their characterful way
So much distinction
And lineage they
A true kingliness
And pride so to say

And the sounds of the river
Whose white water course
Waterfalls flourish
With amazing force
Exciting the senses
Reliably so
Concentrating the mind
To a fanciful flow.
