A bear in a concrete pit in some zoo

Educational to the ignorance
Of zoo keepers whose living stocks
Are tortured animals from the wild
Paraded to take all the knocks
In a concrete cell unnaturally
To pine away each hour
It breaks their hearts it tears at their soul
It draws out all their power
A ticket to see them suffering
A creeping infamy
An ugliness so rampant
The heartfelt symphony
