The little folk know as the wallies

Dry stone wallers

exceptional

for wild soul callers

they

Field mice

Shrews

And Voles

abound

Hedgehogs,and Squirrels play

Not  forgetting Samuel Stoat

all  the beasties down below

side by side with slow worms

Newts and Toads all know

taking up residence

in these walls

a corridor you see

along with Moss and Lichens

vital wild life come

They  all have a field day

Just hearken to that hum

of chattering

around the place

where all the  dry walls are

standing upright in all weathers

here and there and far

across the fields and  mountain sides

wallers do abide.
