Courage and commitment
To a freedom she possessed
As a women she was powerful
Imaginative and purposeful
And exceptionally blessed
Animals had touched her heart
She understood their pain
So many people dismissed her
And showed her their disdain
How innocent so many were
The Seals clubbed on the ice
Babies nursing
Reimbursing
Such cruelty
Suffice to say the fur trade
She was adamant
And she was able to
Try hard to protect them
And the many clueless who
Ignored her, couldn’t feel their pain
And all those vile laboratory’s
Where innocent angels were crucified
All manner of experiments
Their silenced cries
again
She heard them tugging at her heart
And seemingly in vain
She fought for them
She shared her love
Her position helped her, she
Took on the animal Rights campaigns
Against all odds
A free
Thinking caring thoughtful soul
Halal another sense
Of punitive destruction
Her agony immense
Pain and left to suffer
As life ends, she could feel
The terrible affliction
That apparently some conceal
Welfare caring about the animals
Pigeons and Dogs she knew
She knelt down to their level
She held their hearts in view
Their loyalty their immense charm
She took on board for she
Was truly very sensitive to
The massive cruelty
She died an Angel willing
To fight for those dear souls
Innocently she brokered
Tending to their roles
Fighting for their freedom
Giving them her all
She will never be forgotten
