Sat atop the hill
Overlooking Dolgellau town
the trees are getter whacked about
they could just come down
smack into my white house
whining every night
all sorts torn a’sunder
from Winters honest bite
Sitting in my living room
close to the event
hazels oaks and the odd Birch
seemingly content
strumming with their branches
mountain music where
gusts could rip my chimney off
and that wouldn’t be fair
would it
only moved here in July.
