Laika the little dog shot into space

A little soul found on the street
Plucked like that
Not at all discreet
One minute humanity seemed to care
Then suddenly whisked away so there
Off in space ship to god knows where
Laika in some despair
Fired into space and blown apart
This angelic soul with the kindest heart
