Some call it Hollywood

It sits in the valley

surrounded by

lots of tall firs

and mountains that fly

White facing houses

All built facing the sun

to the right down the valley

Where The  old town, homespun

of ancient acclaim

listed buildings of stone

Dolgellau a story book comes to life

shown

to be vastly up bringing a romance

that we

from Awelfa out yonder

oh yes  we all see

a grey  autumn sky

a stillness,  though

bushes on stalks

in front of me grow

these newer buildings

are facing repairs

not built like the old places

Where ancientness shares

a timid retreat dry stone walls

committed to age

a mysterious sight

clearly way off the page.
