October in the North

The trees are getting a hammering

swinging from north to South

mountain mists and dark grey skies

the wind heaving it’s fists

tearing into buildings

Loosening  the tiles

power lines swinging dangerously

Acorns like missiles

flying every which way

peppering squirrels

who

are out in all this rain and squall

doing what they do
