Some of the trees I have seen in Snowdonia

I am eighty two

and what I feel  is true

in the forests there

Makes me want to share

The Douglas Fir

the Norway Spruce

Gigantic Christmas trees
let loose

these conifers now side by side

sheltering birds

and where squirrels hide

bowing down

To the  wind swept way

looking at their worth

and their bright display

these bounteous forests

Let us say

stand together  day on day

going back in time I see

every single Christmas Tree

standing proud  against the snow

loving light and feeling so

thinking of those Yuletide scenes

and the pyramidal greens

whose pendulous branches

weave and wave

this  wondrous vista

we must save
