Meeting up with Diane Field

in Welshpool yesterday

Sitting just outside a Cafe

close enough to say

hello nice to meet you

clearly someone who

dresses well with an ebullience

very much on view

speaking crisply

speaking well

and she was good to hear

a bit like me

not enough space

outside to easily
Sit down

not enough space

with cakes and  mugs of tea

a busy Road at the back of us

Chatting  earnestly

as I got up she  eye balled me

Do you need a hand ? she said

Thank you  Dear I answered

at least I am well fed

she explained that she was in her eighties

a clothes shop proprietor

open three days every week

vintage clothes  and at her peak

she loved her  job  and she

gave us a card  come by and see me

it made sense actually

We thanked her said we would come back

and enjoy seeing her lovely things

judging by her persona

The confidence she brings

to every single facet

of  each sentence she expresses

and surely it will be indeed a pleasure

to see her dresses.
