A winding road
and quite a hill
some damn fine cottages
both sides spill
either side upwards high
through rusty gates
farmers rely
on the traveller class
to observe the rules
its steep up here
ferns appear
shaley ground
its very clear
steep ravines
Heather growing
spikey berries
just bestowing
hues of red
winding high
tis a place to touch the sky
the Estuary it stretches far
sand and sea you see they are
Pointing out into the Sea
and Cader Idris
standing free
such silence up here
Peaceful views
a cinder track
its such good news
Oak trees clinging for all their worth
and spiny thistles
that have given birth
to a dome shaped viciousness
that we see
and a place of such tranquillity
so very close to Dolgellau
packed today
Tourists ply
the bank holiday shops
for ice cream and tea
And back to Awelfa
the lucky three
Dewi
