It happened in a English Village at the weekend

The peace and quiet

Of rural life

was shared by the Alpacas who

were left inside a paddock

the four of them

and what we do

is love them every single hour

and hear the deadly tale

of them all being shot in the head

a scene to make  one pale

for the dreadful significance

of murder  yes most foul

imagining the awfulness

the attackers

As they prowl

slowly

all grimacing

evil  in a way

of taking out the innocent
and, this was no way

One female seems to have escaped

but in her minds eye she

will keep these scenes of  murder

and never again be free

Their  mentor One Dawn French

found them

imagining last breaths

how frantic how distastefully

heaven shared their deaths
