Storm

I cannot remember a storm so loud
Unbelievable banging
An impossible shroud
Rain beating down
Flashes of fire
Demons in town
It just felt dire
My little cat
As deaf as a post
But like a banshee
Seeing a ghost
A reflection of something
I got up to pee
And a huge flashing thunderbolt
Just followed me

It was irksome and rabid
The lights seem to fail
The storm overhead
One hell of a wail
The gods clearly crying
Suffering so
The wind clearly lashing
Just seem to grow

Into a maelstrom
Of murderous glee
I got up in the dark
Wanting to see
Unbelievable flashing
Violence afoot
A rabid storm
Grotesquely put

Imagine wild souls in the forests about
Feeling the iced charge
The daggers of doubt
Crashing upon them
With terrible force
From which electric soul
Was this devil the source
