Ignorant Tourists

So many get wrapped up in their own lives
To see
No thought for others
Just so selfishly
Book to ride elephants
Improbity
Covetous idiots
Who wickedly

Forget about elephants
Land animals, who
Are wild as the wind
And who do what they do
Which is not allow humans
To ride them for they
Manage their own weight
For that is their way

Thailand’s a tourist place
Jungles and sea
We are delinquents
It’s imaginary
Watch them by all means
But ride them no way
It’s bad for their feet
What else dare one say

The industry there
Is about exploitation
Phajaan a system of torture
This Nation
Captures young babies
And kills all their friends
And tortures the babies
Such fear it then sends

Into the babies making them feel
They have to be ridden
And just won’t conceal
Their hatred for doing this
Really we must
Be kind to the animals
For this disgust

At torture and bad training
It isn’t right
The babies cry great tears
It’s a huge fright
It damages their souls
Their legs and their feet
Traipsing along
In the dust and the heat

Such severe punishment
Awful duress
We beat them we punish them
Such awful stress
A seven day torture
Strung up and made
To actually suffer
One hell of a raid

Temples and religion
Is one thing, maybe
But the elephant trainers
Are wicked they be
So very cruel they pin back their ears
Attach chains and ropes
You can witness their tears
Glittery temples
Jungles and sand
Each breaking in process
We must understand

The elephants suffer
As tourists we must
Never ride elephants
Be aware, the disgust
We are the culprits
Wanting to ride
Or see them paint pictures
We really must hide
Be caring be kind
Atone and be good
Respect and love animals
Like we all should.
