Moon

It appears outside my window
A beautiful yellow moon
Hanging in a profusion
Seemingly it’s soon
Coming into my window
It’s glorious shining seems
Closer almost staring and
It’s almost in my dreams

Through an ugly window
Out into the sky
Millions of miles of spatial distance
Obviously sits high
Sending beams of brimstone
All those many miles
And reaching into my bedroom
Somehow reconciles

A distance of greatness
Soulfully imposes
A lustre from a million miles
King of king it cosies
Up with an emotion
A devotion from afar
Through the many galaxies
To be seen where ere we are.
