Pilot whales

Forever chemicals
Faroese people
Know of the threatening streams
Tragically
For years they ignore us
Animal rights

people
They talk tradition
And now frantically
Cancers are showing up
Not just from mercury
PCB’s Fire retardant’s
Water Proofing as well
Eating carnivorous whales
A causation
Bringing us contaminants straight out of Hell

Sea birds like Fulmars
Their eggs and the Dolphins
Wind drying blubber
Is a problem and they
Should really have realised
Vile concentrations
Build up in bloodstreams everyday

We must stop all this killing
These drives are an anathema
Throwbacks to Viking days
We shouldn’t be
For now the forever chemical components
Are building and yielding
Straight out of the sea
