War and the children

Whilst the selfish won’t share
The children alas
Staring into the abyss
Sadly en masse
Their cries to the heavens
Immense we can say
As the rockets fly high
And the rubble display
Bodies lie broken
Explosions galore
So many children
Ask their mothers
Why war
