Adam

A boy woke up this morning
And became a target for
An Israeli sniper
In this genocidal war
Nine years old
Named Adam
In a bombed out hole
An innocent so obvious
But Netanyahu’s goal
Of anger and true vitriol
The military, so vile
The bullet smashed into his skull
And earnestly meanwhile
Five tiny little angels
Starved of life now lay
No oxygen no electricity
No food
It was a way
To end their real existence
angels everyone
How can we stay silent
For what we know was done

The pinnacle of everywhere
every soulful mind
Where are those politicians
They surely will be lined
Up in their own solitude
Excuses will not do
So repellent and so odious
And tragically so true.
