Murmurations

The beautiful Starlings
Sworn at by city dwellers
Messing in high buildings
Magical spellers
Active great movement
Flurry and slurry
A maelstrom of movement
A height of protection
Great flighted dances
Assiduous chances
They appear hyperactive
Extending their pathways,
A powerhouse of protest
Instinctively they
Work with precision
And blow me away

Great social songsters
The shiniest feathers
Sturmus Vulgaris
Iridescent marked souls
Woad blue and grass green
With white spots of snow
These beautiful birds
I do love them so.

Peregrine Falcons love their sweet taste
Thus murmurations devised and faced
Great patterned clouds mind-blowing shapeshifters
Pushing the boundaries
Flaunting the natural saving the day
Blind folding the predators
With their wondrous display.
