Donkey dirge

Enslave the angels
Beat them down
Our selfishness
Does slowly drown
Life’s essence from the working few
Whose broken spirit
Dies

Thrown away like garbage they
Felt the pain and passed away
Alone in agony mentally
Exhausted by the infamy

Death for them
A soft appeal
Only now some of us feel
The pain they went through
Extraordinary
