Performing in the park

An 85 year old lady
A performer
Had a marionette of herself
Dancing in the park
Clearly attracting attention
From inquisitive passers by
She was feeding a squirrel
That’s no word of a lie
Despite her age her dexterity
In Working the model well
It had her characteristics
Which is why it was a sell
Out and why so many seeing her perform
Clearly we’re enamoured
I mean to say a warm
feeling
For the expertise and ideology
Of a women feeding a squirrel
Which all around could see

Not far from fifth avenue
In New Yok it was where
Poets and performers came
To entertain and share
Their talents and their
Wisdom to others in the park
And honest to actually see her
Well she really made her mark
