Such seriousness

Blue as the sky
That hangs over head
A pink flush of summer
Whereupon we are led
To a curious garden
Of solace where pain
Hangs from the tree tops
Where life feels in vain
Such sadness such evil
Such awful regret
A cruelty mastered
By a shaft of cold sweat
