A precious soul passed
A sentinel who
Brought avid admiration
His spirit was true
He loved and was loved
By all those he knew
Affirming the statement
What the goodly can do
Asserting his power
To offer his care
Emphatic his will
To abundantly share
In a Potten End flourish
He mingled and was
Taken to heart
Which was really because
He was true to himself
He gave and he shared
His love with his
Human friends
Somehow, he dared
To be up front and loving
An identity
Those he loved knew only to well
Honestly
A style of his own
In raptures when she
Slept by his side
Feeling magically
Responsive and peaceful
Protected and calm
Able to show her
Nothing would harm
Her sweet soul and in passing
His mind took control
He hadn’t seen her
But he could extol
The wonder she was to him
Kindly and free
A rainbow of sorts
In a real constancy.
