“Notice me”

Minster Lovell
A village full
of haunting souls
A vast imperious Manor House
Where we sat
our chosen roles
To manifest a peaceful way
Along the river Windrush
On a warm and gentle day

A tree and in a it’s clutches sat
A mushroom family
Where they were at
Palpable and visible
A sweet haunting refrain
Affirming all I did believe
A product of such pain

Affirming and pronouncing
Absolute and seen
In that darkly corner
Surrounded by the green
I saw her eyes upon me
She leant in all aglow
An un
embroidered beauty
A witch from long ago.
