Garlic

Claudie Ferri Hecate knew with the element fire
Masculine gender Mars like a pyre
Great for protection good on the sea
Mariners carried it fiddle dee dee
Mountaineers wear it it has strong power
Warns of bad weather
Hour upon hour
Rub it on infections
And toss it away in running water
That’s what some say
Romans would eat it when going to fight
It gave them great courage with every bite
Hang over the door and the envious will
Stay well away we won’t feel their chill
Rubbed on to pots and pans negatives fly
Though the risk of contaminants
Might have been high
Garlic sees off such
Don’t ask me why. It just does
