A personal commitment

Andy Knott and his faithful canine
Buddy are going to make
It known that hunting on MOD Land
Really it does shake
Our very souls imagining
Wild animals in flight
Hunters giving chase to them
The fear the awful fright

Salisbury Plain a vast expanse
Ben Wallace took away
The right for Andy to monitor
The hunts and to display
Compassion and true empathy
To fight the good fight,n he
Put his own health on the line
To fight for decency

It really is contemptible
That hunts are allowed to ply
Land belonging to the mOD
Wildness shocked just why
Can we be so dishonourable
Allowing wild souls to
Be tortured and be frightened
Clearly a painful view

So despite Andy’s health issues
He and his dog Buddy
Are going to make a stand
On land
Controlled by the MOD
Monitoring is essential
Allowing Hunts to be
Threatening the wildlife
Is wrong also to me

It’s up really to all of us
To support this man today
He stands alone believing
Really it’s his way
To take on such exposure
To offer up a plea
To give his heart and spirit
And to fight with empathy
