Lucky keychains

The lack of respect
Not a reverent thought
No true adoration
We all do seem caught
In a commercial bubble
Superciliousness
Disparaging mockery
Causing great stress

To the honestly innocent
Equal and fair
Rabbits the docile
Who love mountain air
Their sense of obligation
Tender and soft
Who are used by the monster
And hung in a loft

Vicious and spiteful
That’s who we are
Making up stories of luck
Our star
The acerbity rises
Our hardness of heart
We chop off their legs
Just for a start

Our lucky Rabbits Leg
Somehow we think
It’s painful death
Taking them to the brink
Will give us good favour
Their death and their pain
Hung on a buckle
Will save us

In vain
We struggle to realise
Their agony
Taken with malice
And severity
For me it’s a loathing
Antipathy
Inimical behaviour
How can this be
