A joey of course
Is a baby kangaroo
At home in mums pouch
As she feeds good and true
The shooter shoots fast
The mother might be
Dead as a dodo
Now the joey
Is smashed on the bull bars
Or decapitated
Or left for the eagles
It’s so complicated
Live in the bush
