A quarter of a century

A dark night in Paris

a lady with a man

a driver who had been drinking

it hadn’t gone to plan

the press were in attendance

sweet nothings in her ear

onwards into the tunnel

the couple were sincere

exhaustion got the better

the dark the shadows thrown

the front wheels clipped the kerb edge

the couple they were thrown

Sideways

it all happened

in the blinking of an eye

a princess lost her power to breathe

in an instant both would die

together love had cost them

An Eternal time for they

lost their sense of being

and did together pass away.
