Barren batteries

Barren battery cages
They have been used for ages
Hens kept holed up
Cannot turn around
Prisoners in muck they be drowned
Egg laying
Feather pulling too
It’s what frustrated birds
Tend to do
Bored to death
All this is true
& suffering really all day
