The Bee and the Dandelions

The excitement of Spring

and a concordant  time

to go after pollen

worthy of a rhyme

wildness is pollen Nature’s true gift

a wondrous coherence

a positive lift

thankfully Dandelions are the dominant  flower

alive to the sun

to the great shining power

growing wild sown by Nature

often killed off by man

with his glyphosate poisons

Bees are not a fan

!

a herbicide truly

thats dreadful to taste

the primordial freshness

alas goes to waste

we Bees need the flowers

for man takes away

so much of our honey store

everyday

we work very hard in the toxic gloom.

against all those sprays

Bees feel the doom encroaching upon us

for so many days

it sticks, to our legs causing

such a malaise

Wildness  it compensates

its our redemption

an antidite  that calms all the tension

a generous tribute to Bee’s everywhere

whose profound sense of judgement

is vitally there.

Humans diminish

the power of the sun

with herbicide toxins

they ruin our fun

the intensification

the baskets so sweet

pollen collected

and strapped to our feet

the dandelions close

the sun  is their fuel

Whereas glyphosate

sadly is terribly cruel.
