Nigerian Palm Oil

Nigeria the third biggest

Palm oil producer  She

is headed off by Malaysia

and Indonesia who pay

attention to the manufacture

But fail in many ways

to protect the created environment

so don’t expect great praise

from me

these countries succumbing

to the Multi National scourge

who wipe away the forests

in one almighty purge

of wildlife and wild fauna

the biodiversity

tree magic and its wonders

the great groves  wondrously

packed with gods own creatures

primed for wooded ways

ancestral paths to secret haunts

remembering those days

the sentinels of significance

Ancient souls of old

in canopies where the Great apes

and the Tiger, somewhat bold

stalking the darkest shadows

melted in the light

camouflaged and beautiful

in the jungles light

all of this was broken

through and those who once were there

replaced by the drabber oil palm

with its dark realms of despair

where rats and yes  black cobra

cut a passage through

and owls may flit a moment

doing what owls do.
where all the former glories

are gone and far away

Where light force and the energy

Is destroyed I have to say.
