Costco chickens

Not what one expects from Costco
Go visit one and see
Huge great car parks full of cars
Carts piled
Voluminously
And so we hear with chickens
Costco’s bold ideas
Is design the chicken sheds
Where millions see the tears
Imagining the suffering
These birds live just five weeks
From egg to death
On rancid breath
Becoming disabled freaks

Breasts grow massive chemically
Genetically as well
The rotisserie is spinning
All the way to HELL
The suffering is vigorous
Their legs cant stand the strain
They topple over and stay there
Just going insane

Costco designs the equipment
No duty of care
Unfitting an innappropriate
For all the babies there
Sitting on the litter
Burns their skin red raw
Just constant agony
That no one can ignore

They are trampled on
Chicken breeds that grow
Faster than dear god himself
Its arrogance you know
Profit and not a prophet
Anywhere alas
Its a torture chamber
For all the birds enmasse

Look out at at the checkpoints
Cars are everywhere
Trolleys full with Costco goods
Boxes of despair
That customers just cannot see
Or smell or feel but they
Are hiding in the slaughter sheds
Not all that far away

Karmic debts are building
The tills are loading fast
But angels in their wisdom
See flags hung at half mast
For all the weeping chickens
In agonised lament
Suffering so terribly
Dying and sadly spent

Of favour warmth and caring
Wilful neglect was theirs
Unfilial and terribly
Nobody heard their prayers
Scant respect and irreverence
Dishonour through and through
From day one until the day they were killed
We realise now how true

Hell on earth at Costco was
Despite the trolleys full
Cars fighting in their car parks
The name itself does pull
In the punters daily
Thinking the food is great
The unworthiness and the meanness
Best we investigate.

Best we check the infantry
Ask them what they do
Why their chickens look so sad
Many turning blue
Many suffering badly
Taste is just not there
They are making money
Out of pure despair
