Heading up the wonderful work
Your integrity it told
You many years ago
Just how much pain
There was about
How Animals were suffering
You just were in no doubt

Your incorruptibility
Your conscientious soul
The truest code of honour
You ended that role
The animals were calling out
And you heard each one my dear
Humbled by them exalted by them
For them you did fear

Our fellow man the abuser
They were out there every day
The hunters and the poachers
And the trappers
Who get their way
With scant respect for animals
Irreverent their scorn
They came into this world alas
Pain was their new dawn

You had that Bounden duty
You felt their loyalty
You knew that you could do it
Your philosophy
Was punctilious and ready
To begin to save them you
Could Really make the difference
And Peta it rang true

That rightfulness your morality
You were the shining light
Suitable and appropriate
Undeflected in plain sight
So many many victims
Your heard their every cry
And you were here to save them
You were the reason why

The misanthropy was out there
The torture and the strain
Villains every kind of rotter
Dishing out the pain
And you were there to stop them
Inspire a team to try
And by your real resolve
You did it by and by

Ingrid you are an angel
And a warrior of sorts
Such power was at your finger tips
Your heart was jammed with thoughts
compassion and the empathy
For every living soul
And you began the journey
Of taking on the roll

71 years old now
And, still going strong
It’s been a tireless performance
Trusting all along
All the ailing savagery
All the evil acts
You were their to fight them
Your produced the facts

You are a marvellous women
every animals friend
You were there when others
Walked away
And that did send
Hope across the darkening skies
Across the raging sea
That Ingrid she was on their case
And was coming urgently

Can I say how much
I have followed in your footsteps
With my rhymes
Watching you that energy
Well before the time’s
Others took your honesty
Your loving attitude
You have made that difference
And thus our gratitude

Is warmly sent to you my dear
Hoping you are fine
Our appreciativeness is overflowing
Every sun does shine
On those who have felt anger
All those locked up in zoo’s
A crusader watching out for them
Spreading happier news.

And inspiring thousands
To come on board and fight
To share goodwill and benevolence
And just all exude light
A kindly disposition
Fraternal feelings Shared
