Don’t call us voiceless we have cried ourselves dry

When you are wild as the wind
You don’t want to be
Under the scape into pliancy
Submissive and bowing
Ingratiation
Ready to grovel
And stoop for salvation
Man has that habit
Of expecting that we
Kowtow to him
When we need to be free
It creates such bad blood
And hostility
To be bound up
And seething
With disloyalty

We are seen as unfriendly
With a grudge if we bite
Whose the aggressor
Who wants to fight
Who feels enbittered
Not wanting to be
Stuck in some cage
The indignity

Getting provoked
Is seemingly
Like seeing red
Rampagingly
Being offended
Snarling and snapping
Red-eyed with anger
Your energy expended
Sullen forbidding
Jaundiced a while
When you cannot express yourself
You are in a pile

Of I’ll will And enmity
Callous disregard
You food is just thrown at you
When you are off guard
Injustice and mischief
Your accusers are there
Wanting your blood
And your tail
And your hair

Captivity sucks
When you can’t walk away
When you feel hot and bothered
Everyday
Self-glorification
They all make a play
For your beautiful eyes
At the end of the day
Which rankles the spirit
With no where to go
But hide in the corner
And try to stay low
