The ocelot (Field Tiger)

Since Chavez was got rid of
The country had taken a dive
The population a lot of them
Are trying to survive
Lots of local people are starving
and it seems
Have gone over to eating cats and dogs and pigeons
Their bad dreams
apparently
Are catching up on many
Chronic shortages now
People are breaking into zoo’s
And killing Animals how
It could be these poor ocelots
Are victims obviously
But another thing is the precious skins
Are worth a mint it seems to me
A coat in the US fetches 40,000 that
Is a lot of money to feed the poor
So this is where they are at

But of course in every country
There are sicko’s stuck on death
In killing the local wild life
Hunting denying breath
To the wild life of the country
Stalking and killing them they
Need a damn good hiding
Need to be made to pay

They are Iconic cats in fact
Not many left alive
So few night time hunters all trying to survive
Nocturnal after rodents chiefly
Elegantly designed
False eyes on their ears
So the cubs Are then resigned
To follow them in darkness
Those false eyes they are white
Dots a unique feature
That sees the cubs alright.

A Petition has been issued
To try to catch three men
Hunters clearly evil
Concealing themselves then
Ambushing these climbing cats
And killing them at ease
The fur trade are an evil bunch
Who need bringing to their knees

They need a prison sentence
And hard labour so as to
Realise their criminality
And what we do
Is whip the buggers make them feel
The anger we possess
Killing iconic endangered cats
Already in much stress
