Spring equinox

This years equinox
the earliest SPRING
For many years
The last time it was this early
Was 1896
Equal days and equal nights
A celestial fix
The sun has got his hat on
And he came out today
The Alder tree
Took over power
From the Ash
And it did play
The rising sap
You can almost feel it
Bursting pulsatingly from its soul
So much flourishing growth apparent
And edible Greenery is our goal
Fighting to just grasp the light
From its long term dormancy
The wonderment and fascination
And its Awe-inspiring energy
And the unbelievable light we soak up
It concentrates just every hue
All the colours And overtures
Exciting eyes Inspiring souls
And waking up the Rollright moles
Worms and grubs burst Upwards they
Birds migrating Hear them play
Daffodils each clarion call
The sun feels stronger
Against the wall
Primroses sparkle cowslips too
Flowering rosemary starlit dew
An absence of fruits of nuts and seeds
But early blossoms and it all succeeds
In making for a splendid sight
And of waking up the Spring delight
The Druid family robes and all
Their real rich value Always on call
Illustriousness and true esteem
And of course, an undying dream
An ancestral lineage brought to bear
The affection felt by all now there
The promise and the hope beyond
The lockdown of which, no one is fond

There is brightness and there is pleasantry
A felicitation all can see
A familial taste of serene desire
Absorbing the spirit of the fire
The element of protection here
A coming together of truest cheer
Sisters and brothers our family one
Beguiled it seems by the Aries sun
Because of the virus
Our brethren May
Not be as close
On our ritual day
But I for one the aged bard
Love the order and the guard
The rapport and reciprocity
The love and compatibility.
