It happened in Portland
Victoria
A blue gum plantation
It’s where
Koala’s so many were killed
In the fires
At the height of such
Awful despair
The world has been shocked
By the carnage
These iconic animals they
Gifted by all of creation
And so disrespected
Some say
Logging the blue gum
Makes money
And these logging companies they
Are governed by the Department of Land
Water and Planning they say
But someone with stony indifference
And total irreverence for
The beautiful animals
All the survivors
The disbelief that there is more
Impassive insensibility
Where loggers continue to be
Showing the worst of intentions
Merciless barbarity
Bulldozers have to be driven
By humans and presumably they
Got in their cabs knowing there were survivors
And proceeded to blow them away
Such destructive and callous criminals
Mothers and babies in trees
This is an outrage it is mass murder
Spiteful and vicious to breeze
Through the trees knowing KOALAS were sitting
Cold hearted sadistic vandals
investigations must be
ANDY MEDDICK must get on the case right away
For these ruffians shouldn’t be free
They need locking up for its evil
Wrongheaded dishonesty
You can’t make mistakes of this nature
And think you will get off Scott free
The company needs to be shut down
And the newspapers told everywhere
The operatives clearly are wicked
Everyone should be aware
Seeing the surviving victims
Bulldozed to death seemingly
If it’s the company instructing it’s men
It’s a slippery slope tragically
They must feel the weight of the law here
These angels are worthy of more
People complicit in murdering wildlife
Should get a long sentence for sure
