“Winn” and “Dixie”

I can’t remember actually how we got here
I just remember both of us
Could see
We were in the sewer the air was really smelly
Standing in a puddle now we be
We thought it’s best to yelp and cry and hopefully
Someone might just hear us and come by
And sure enough a lady did
And very soon Hope for paws
Who came and gave us biscuits
And the lid
Was off the lost and don’t know what to do
We were on a leash and in the park
Walking with Loretta
And soon back to the place
A lovely walk and scrub
A nice clean face

And loved and just looked after
It was fabulous
And now we stay
With wags and walks their friends
It’s really good that both of us
Were rescued
And a forever home, will be ours, one day
