The insidiousness of tourism
On the Lesser Sanda Islands
East of Java
On the coral triangle
Where we
Bali it’s a paradise
For tastelessness
And crassness
For just four quid
A baby monkey can be yours
To be
Involved in such vulgarity
Of long tailed macaques
All stolen
From their mothers arms no doubt
A churlish yobbish trait
The cruelty apparent
The despondency they are causing
Inconsolable distress
Each infants knows it’s fate
And it’s all for entertainment
One upmanship and monstrousness
Mindless to the age old problem
Of wild souls ageing fast
Now of course they are lovable
But soon they will be really wild
Frighteningly obviously then the die is cast
Tortured made to hang on tips of toes
To then walk upright
To dress up and pretend
This monkey baby
Feel alright
Its surely lacking all respect for
Wildness
For understanding Nature
And it’s way
It’s outrageous and insulting
To the animals lovers everywhere
And animals should have rights
More so today
I disapprove of causing all this cruelty
It really is abuse we should revile
It’s aiding and abetting
In criminality
And shows a shabby character
At play
