We are wanting more than we ever

In times gone by we were closer
To the countryside and we
Lived in touch with Nature
And to the animals who were key
Our bare feet were in touch with grass
But now seldom are they
We all have cupboards full of
Clothes
that we do not wear each day

Its like everything upon the earth
The trees the soil the air
The gas the minerals the ocean
All this stuff we share
We take too much of everything
It is sold to us and we
Buy and buy asking ourselves why
Because we need to see

Ourselves in something new each day
Fashionable and right
And what about the stuff that we bought yesterday
The fight
To stay ahead in every way
Breeds waste and we can see
Everyone has great big bins
Which they fill up constantly

Shops are closing on the high street
On line shops now be
The answer we can order them on line
Dont have to see
Stuff in the shop windows
Not when we can stay
Sitting on our arses
Ordering on line all day

Most of it imported
Forget the
Great EU
Most comes in from China
Where its cheaper where they do
Add to global warming
With their industry alight
Poor wages down the ages
And environmental blight

How many bottles of vino
Do we gulp down every week
How many splifs are people smoking
Those that is that seek
A better life than the one they lead
When around them often we
Have countryside and hills and dales
And so much greenery

But we are undecided
In the smoke and pollution where
Many of our children now
Apparently unaware
Connected to their cell phone to their i pad
And PC
To their games consul
Its the new idea
Its where our children be

Trees are being cut down
Making way for the five g
Its coming don’t
you worry
Smart meters to we shall see
In your homes your energy costs
Rising by the day
The corporates are ruining life
And making us all pay

Local councils the police force
The courts system all be
Corporate all working hand in glove

Is left behind, the planet
Is suffering like mad
Waste we are producing it
And it makes me sad

Drive up any motorway
Or by-pass and you see
So much rubbish the third world
It looks like it could be
But its the great stockbroker belt
The mansions and the green
And in London town the crime rates
There never has ever been

Everywhere we go
The air is getting bleaker
As the trees come down we know
Air quality is awful
Take aways they grow
Everywhere the crappy food
Is so much now on show

Full of fat and sugar
Full of meat and blood
Waste of life is evident
There now is a flood
Of ugliness and horror
Its everywhere we look
On line of course not a library
Who wants to read a book?

We are on line we see videos
Who wants to see the green?
Who cares about the animals
Where they might have been
Who cares about the foxes
The badgers and the hares
The planet is now reeling
And few now say their prayers

Its all about refinement
Whole foods thankyou no
Its all genetic manipulation

Their blood so full of shit
Plastics masses of it
The flames are being lit

plastics
There are massive islands

We have refined all their honey

And micro waves each day

Towers are really everywhere
Pulsating crazily
We are on our head sets
We are far from free
The birds are dropping merrily
The insects they are too
This is what we are doing
We are all part of the zoo

We are in our cages
Constructed out of waste
Eating really awful food
If only it was faced
How bad the world is these days
The rivers and the seas
The air we breathe
And the water we drink
Many are on their knees

Suffering and aching
Opiates out there
Chemo we can dream o
And wonder why its rare
These days to find real hope at all
Despite sweet planet earth
With so many blood sucking corporates
All of them giving birth
To yet more vaccinations
And refinement and the rest
Open borders migration
Its so great to be blessed
