No fracking excuses

Those who want to establish
A gas and oil field closer to
Where many live
Where schools are
And and ofcourse people give
Their hard earned cash to build their homes
And gardens and to this regard
Along comes fracking attractive backing
And its then when it all gets hard

At least 600 chemicals
Radioactive and
heavy metals
Carcinogenic and nerve poisons
The sand
the drinking water
All of that its injected down the well
Vast quantities of it
And when it comes back
Its A cocktail made in Hell

When it comes up if it should spill
If there is methane in the air
Anything can happen
With these cowboys everywhere
We see the way crane drivers
Climb up and try to get
Surfers off a tripod
So the scene looks set

Are there any emergency plans
Should anything go untoward
Or Happen whilst they are dilling
And can we all afford
The damage and the potential
Sickness that could ensue
Apparently there is little
Now in place So what do we do

If we surf on lorries
Prison is the thing
If we slow walk lorries
Prison is what they bring
If we do a lock on prison Is going to be
And if we become victims
too bad they say for we

Warned you
there could be happenings
Nothing is without risk
Grenfell couldnt happen
Funny I heard this disk
Before
these arrogant frackers
Create negative equity
Walk away from accidents
And adversity

Its not happening
in their backyards
So what have they to care
They lie most of them anyway
Research makes us aware
That we are in the sacrifice zone
And the frackers do not care
Its the fast buck they are after
And back home to their lair

Water wasted never to be potable again
If that is not a criminal act
Its one that is insane
They ought to be in a mental place
Not patted on the back
And given bloody knighthoods
They all should get the sack

So good on yer Helen Chuntso
For having the mind to be
Caring really loving
Towards the community
If not for her and others
We like lemmings wait to leap
Into the raging ocean
Saying its alright
Its not that deep!
