We are losing our land and our ancient paths to water

Our ancient paths to water
Our habitat our way
Is being lost forever
And for all of this we pay
It is a continual struggle
And our sorrows are our own
Our despondency and misery
Really it has grown

Electric fences everywhere
Boundaries that curtail
Our freedom to find water
There is many a trail
Now cut off from the elephants
Its hostile and its wrong
And many of us are dying
Because we dont belong

Too many of you humans
Want farming land and we
Are hated we can feel that
But then we wanted to be
Where creation put us
Its calamitous we know
With so many of us dying
And the trouble is you know

Ten of us in this region
Last year alone was bad
We dont agree with boundaries
We are wild and free its sad
To be upon this wretched world
Where humans rule the land
Such distress we are having
And you fail to understand

But then you are supremacy
Your governance of power
Electric fences everywhere
More and more and now
Our water trails our mineral paths
Are cut off and so we
Must turn around and realise
There is no where we can be

Escept locked in your temples
On begging on the street
Or working in the forests
On killed for extra meat
Us elephants are suffering
From the great human disease
Adversity adversity
For you life is a breeze

Everywhere is rigor
The strong hand and the rest
It just all feels like tyranny
And seemingly its best
That each of us break down the fences
And some of us we know
Will die we know the answer
We are just out of the flow

Needs must and the necessity
We are under your duress
Habitat is being lost
And we are getting stress
Everywhere we look these days
Our defiance seems to be
Lost on you lot
Thats for sure
And for us yes tragically

There is no such thing as freedom
You have taken that away
Unattached and fancy free
Not now not today
We are confined to areas
Corralled we bave to say
Where our human charges have lost the plot
We are pilloried and we pay.
