Lost Creek Golf

A certain Craig Loving
Worked at the above
A natural location
This kind of job
ofcourse he did love
One morning he noticed
out in the lake
An owl was caught up
And for the owls sake
Decided to free it
The fishing line tore
Into its wings
Like never before

The poor soul was clearly
Tangled and lost
The tough mono filament
Clearly had cost
The owl who was frightened
Could not get away
So Craig waded out
With little delay
Spent quite a time
Emotionally
Cutting the filament
That he could see
Spreading the wings and
Unknotting the wire
His impressionable friend
Circumstance had been dire

After a while
It appeared he was free
Used the handle of a shovel
Like a perch which was key
Carried the owl back to dry land
Saving the wild owl
I do understand.
