Exporting live sheep to The Middle East

Who are we really
To imagine that we
Have the right now to punish
Sheep constantly
Chastise them and persecute
Them as we do
With total abandonment
For me it won’t do
We must unfrock the liars
This has to be said
Beautiful animals
Thet all wind up dead
Or dying in torment
Neglected and sad
Deprived of sustenance
Which drives me mad

No water no food
Overcrowded like hell
On a long ocean voyage
So many we sell
Competing with Dubai snd Doha
Yes we
Compete with Pakistan
And Abu Dhabi
We compete with somalia
And with Iran
We compete with India
Yes and sudan

Australian authorities
Tell markets we
Have the strictest standards
Of welfare and be
Heavier carcass weights
Our standards high
Commodity speak
And for most its a lie
Trucked to the port
And then loaded and shipped
Condemning these angels
Their freedom is ripped
Out of their souls
In the stench of the hold
Crammed in like sardines
Yes all are sold

Despite all the promises
What we can see
As flies on the wall
Is where we dont want to be
Given no food so they wont shit so much
These exporters truly are so
Out of touch
Sheep are clean animals
Respectful they be
Standing on each other
They shit and they wee
They stink like the heavens
Frightened in pain
Unable to breathe
Some going insane

Its contradictory
To statements they make
About good inspections
Compliance, all fake
It exceeeds all laws
To ship souls in this way
It should be indictable
Thats what I say
They talk up high quality
They are a gift
A miraculous creation
Alive now adrift
In a great rolling ocean
Falling about
The weight of each other
Is without a doubt

In contravention
Of the standards in place
So many transgressions
It is a disgrace
We are felonious
Looking away
And being unaccountable
These poor sheep pay
A terribly high price
For being alive
They live with our filthiness
And some will survive
Hearing the mass bleating
Suffering so
Shameless and grossness
Vulgar and low
Defiled and dishonoured
Seduced lead astray
In bed with the rats and the maggots
Who prey
On their sores and emotions
Violated by
Their teeth and saliva
Til they give up and die

Denied of sustenance
Austerity
Just made to fast
Their stomachs empty
Famished and ravenous
Nothing to do
Except to get frightened
And to nervously chew
On comrades for comfort
It is the case
You feel so abandoned
And dont want to face
Anymore terror
The iniquity
Your true loss of innocence
And the depravity
They are putting you through
Its degrading your soul
You feel frail you feel foible
Losing control
Accursed in what is this unforgiving
Cramped hold
You know they are blameworthy
on that you are sold

Licensed by government
Thats what they say
The safety authority
Yes of the day
With welfare standards
Second to none
Their pants are on fire
Someone get a gun
In the swell of the waves
We are thrown here and there
We are bruised we are cut
We are desperate for air
Our farming fraternity
Back home in OZ
Wont be even thinking of us
Just because

They wiped their hands of us
Self seeking gits
Out of sight out of mind
It gives me the shits
Their lack of principle
And insincerity
With sll their sheep babies
Now on the high sea
Heads they win
Tails we lose
Shudderingly
Our accusations
The godly might see
Humiliation scorn and disdain
Despised by the crew
Who have little to gain

A total unwillingness
To offer care
Wanting of duty
And unwilling to share
Some light or some water
We gasp we so dry
We scream and we shiver
And more of us die
99 per cent the sales people
Say
Of the sheep shipped arrive
Safe and sound
All the way
Which is a big lie
When so many die
And the suffering caused
when allmof us pay

Live exports should be banned
They make out a case
For Australian sheep
If they only would brace
Themselves for the terror
The horror aboard
The pain and the suffering
We cannot afford
They are absolute liars
No humility
Its all about profit
And ego it be
Inverted snobbery
Lots of false pride
Hubristic tossers
Where all is denied

And when we arrive
The tumultuous scene
We are packed off in cars
To be butchered obscene
Killings in front of us,
just in the street
Sacrificed monstrously
in all that heat
As for the meat and livestock brigade
And maritime safety
On your heads its laid
Inconsolable grief
Unpropitious are we
To the dreadful live exports
Which ominously

Continue to happen
Despite the despair
The intimidation
Yes all it there
The qualms the mistrust
Shitting bricks and the rest
The flesh creeping mind boggling
Terror at best
At the destination
The tastelessness there
They are all philistines
There they don’t
They are butt ugly demons
Ungainly brutes
Who are quick to disfigure
And tear at our roots.
