Dingle

Indestructible and enduring
The most genuine place to be
To take back all thats wonderful
Of The mountains and the sea
In essence it has everything
An identity of its own
A smorgasbord of beauty
A randomness full blown

Unusual and divergent
Faithful to the cause
Creativeness is everywhere
The poet dare not pause
But feel his eyes intent
On all the beauty thats around
Its vastness and abundance
I am happy to be found

Where simpleness and freedom
Are not just words for me
Impacted by the freshest air
By the bond that seems to be
So telling about Dingle
The integrity one feels
The drama of each moment
That the place itself reveals

The silence and uniqueness
The birdsong how it sounds
The wildness of each moment
The distinction that surrounds
The boundlessness of Nature
The immensity of mind
Its like a new dimension
That is what I find

To breathe again take in those breaths
Open those eyes and see
Somehow ones ears are hearing things
And you can smell the sea
Life in perpetuity
Timelessness is here
A kind of immortality
Its abundant and its clear

The mythology and mindset
A venerable disguise
It feels as if from another age
You just open up your eyes
And see again and feel again
The primitiveness that we
Have lost alas
The foresight and perhaps the
Precocity

The wind the great Atlantic
Its force its vigour felt
Mother Earth reminding us
Productively she’s dealt
With blossom and with wild life
And the exuberance we see
The relish and the zestfulness
And honest energy

It is invigorating
It stimulates the soul
The artist in us contemplates
Taking up the role
Of recording in the psyche
The beauty that one sees
To galvanize the senses
And the memory to please

Space that fine arena
Encompassing it all
Out to the horizon
Where the Fulmars dart and call
The Puffins and Guillemots
Feed and dream and fly
Where Dolphins Whales
An Porpoises
In peaceful pods
Pass by

The real absence of people
The emptiness of space
The kind of light that intoxicates
The dew that wets ones face
The teeming rain being dripping wet
Yet happy with it all
The gift of life that vital spark
That seemingly does call

And the colours their intensity
Some refined and discreet
Others on a giant palette
Where life just feels complete
Perceptible perceivable detectable
They fall
Unmistakable and beautiful
Yes Dingle has it all.
