Yuletide spices

Ginger cloves and cinnamon
All fiery sun blessed they
Bring passion to our magick
And clarity a way
Ginger really adds its power
Its good On frosty days
Added to warm drinks by the fire
It is worthy of praise
It is An anti inflammatory
Good If you have drunk too much
Its used in culinary circles
Where you shouldnt be out of touch
Cloves offer protection
Good for love, but its not
Good for a weak stomach
An irritant it can be
But great to help
Arthritic pain
For its numbing property
Cinnamon a sunny herb
For protection too
A member of the Laurel family
A preservative so true
Thats why its used in apple pies
To prevent mold, and so
It sanctifies a sick room
And is positive you know

The sun is their ruling master
Heat they all impart
Passion energising so good
For the heart
Yuletide often cold and damp
Needs positivity
And these three spices do the trick
And why they have to be

Burned perhaps in incense
It is a yuletide smell
Added to a nightlight
You know you just feel well
Part of the yuletide splendour
To bring the sun to bear
To warm the inner cockles
And to increase the passion there
