Fracking

Greg Clark is skulking around the place
Whilst the frackers do their thing
Barclays Bank injects some cash
Third Energy does bring
Its power to the equation
The risks are higher here
We have got grin and bear it
Despite our abject fear

The water they are using
Is excessive and we know
5 to 8 million gallons per frack
And it will grow
Coming from the life cycle
That nobody can ever drink
Born out of such arrogance
By people who cant think

We are going to see migration
Of the liquor through the rock
And of course an open hole
Which does come as a shock
It really has a shattering effect
As its all pushed down the hole
And when it reaches the aquifer
There is no way you can control

What will life be like in twenty years
Will the sky be black
Will we still have water in our taps
Or liquid crap
No research has yet to be
Done so we will know
How our green and precious land
Will end up and the flow

Of fracking liquid and the oil
Will it still be around
Will we still be living here
On this rotten ground
It once was a peaceful place
But now its a noisy hell
It isnt safe out on the street
And there is a ghastly smell

Initially a lot of people
Came to work here they
Were drivers they were not all nice
Thats what mum did say
Some farmers have sold out to them
But we decided we
Would stay put
Try to stomach it
But in our hearts we be

Choked up with the water
Saddened by the noise
The air we breathe is awful
Nothing holds the joys
We all had as a family
And mum is sick and she
Really cannot walk much now
And that is where we be

Fracking is attacking
Everything we know
Our mental health is failing
As the evils they do grow
Our home is really ruined
The drills are everywhere
Yes To hear my mother crying every night
I so desptair
